They say that sometimes, out of the darkness, light appears. I guess this is kinda the case. It all went down 3 weeks ago...

My grandparents and aunt were in a severe car accident and unfortunately, after 2 weeks of in the intensive care unit, my aunt passed away. We were all pretty much devastated and the fall-out has really taken its toll on my family.

After the funeral, I approached the priest to thank him for all of his support and caring for my family. Well, Father Dave and I got to talking and he ended up commissioning me for a piece to add to his collection of Nativity scenes! Here's the kicker, his request was quite progressive and rather daring. He wants me to create a Modern-day Nativity scene. In lieu of shepherds and wise men, he requested that I depict people that seem to live on the "fringes of society" coupled with three figures in the upper echelons of society (3 wisemen = 3 executive-type figures).

It's going to be a challenge and it will take me a while, but I'm up to it. It will be a while, but expect it on dA within the next few months!
